Jaron Ennis vs Uisma Lima: Fight Scheduled
On October 11, the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia will host a high-profile super welterweight title bout, as Jaron “Boots” Ennis challenges Uisma “Monstro” Lima for the IBO World Championship. The fight marks Ennis’s return to the ring after a six-month layoff and his first appearance in the super welterweight division.
Ennis, 28, remains unbeaten at 34–0 with an 88% knockout rate. A former world champion at welterweight, he last fought in April, forcing Eimantas Stanionis to retire after a punishing display of speed and power. Known for his versatility and sharp timing, Ennis has built a reputation as one of the most dangerous punchers in the sport.
Lima, 32, enters as the defending IBO titleholder with a 14–1 record. He claimed the belt in May by stopping Shervantaigh Koopman via technical knockout. Fighting out of Angola, Lima brings a southpaw stance and a physical style that has overwhelmed most of his opponents. His lone loss came early in his career, and since then he’s strung together a series of decisive wins.
