KINGS BEACH
Named as Queensland’s top beach in 2015, King’s Beach is Caloundra’s iconic seaside playground. An abundance of outdoor activities for the family includes the children’s waterpark, the sheltered sea pool and bike paths. The patrolled beach also ensures that everyone can enjoy the surf in safety, no matter your age or experience level.
BULCOCK BEACH
Bulcock Beach and the adjoining Happy Valley parklands offer an idyllic location for a BBQ or picnic day by the water. Whether it’s seeking an adrenaline rush by kite surfing or just enjoying the calm waters of Pumicestone Passage this section of water provides fun for everyone. Only a stone’s throw to the Caloundra CBD, Bulcock Beach also hosts a gastronomical variety of food and beverage experiences to enjoy.
MOFFAT BEACH
Heading north along Caloundra’s picturesque coastline lies Moffat Beach, popular with surfers and stand up paddle boarders. The location of Australia’s longest-running surf carnival, Moffat Headland creates a perfect right-hand break for surfers and a high vantage spot for spectators and photographers. Moffat Beach is also popular with visitors who like to dine alfresco or sample a paddle of craft beers from the Moffat Beach Brewing Company.
DICKY BEACH
Dicky Beach is an excellent surfing destination for those wanting to hone their new skills or learn the art of surfing for the first time. The smaller waves and patrolled beaches are perfect for young families and inexperienced surfers. The adjacent Dicky Beach Caravan Park, skate park and playgrounds also provide a perfect environment for a family holiday by the sea.
LAKE CURRUMUNDI
For those with toddlers wishing to escape the rumble and tumble of the surf, Lake Currimundi provides a sheltered haven for their children to play safely. Walkers can experience the natural beauty of the Currimundi Lake Conservation Park with abundant walking tracks and wheelchair accessible areas. Kayaking and fishing are also popular amongst tourists visiting this area.
CALOUNDRA COASTAL WALK & CYCLE PATH
Caloundra’s coastal walk and cycle path is the southern section of the Sunshine Coast Council’s Coastal Pathway stretching 96km from Diamond Head in the south to Tewantin in the north.
This shared pathway takes visitors on a picturesque journey along the coastline with sufficient places to stop and admire the view or simply have a brew or two.
The Memorial Walkway section around Caloundra Headland also offers visitors the chance to learn about Caloundra’s role in the defence of Brisbane during World War 2 whilst pausing at the various memorials to remember the sacrifice made by our servicemen and women.
CALOUNDRA JET SKI
Situated on the corner of the Esplanade and Otranto Avenue, on beautiful Bulcock Beach; Caloundra Jet Ski offers exciting thrills and sights to visitors with or without a jet ski license.
Caloundra Jet Ski is a water sports adventure company providing its customers with a ‘small group’ experience amongst the pristine waters and abundant wildlife along Pumicestone Passage.
This stretch of water is sheltered from the ocean by Bribie Island National Park and is home to many rays, dolphins, turtles and dugongs as well as numerous predatory and migratory birds.

This museum is an amazing collection of aviation memorabilia from the smallest target drone to the largest RAAF F-111 jet.

Open Wednesday to Sunday, 10 am to 4 pm, the Caloundra Regional Gallery is located in the CBD at 22 Omrah Ave, Caloundra.
The gallery offers visitors a kaleidoscope of exhibitions created by local and national artists which characterise the communities dotted along our coastline.
Entry to the gallery is free for visitors with the exception of some major exhibitions.

Situated at the top end of the CBD in The Strand, the Caloundra Bigscreen Cinema is an iconic picture theatre that originated back in the 1930s.

CALOUNDRA CHILLI FESTIVAL
The Chilli Festival Caloundra promotes the exciting and sometimes fiery world of the chilli, herbs and spices through a conglomeration of food, music and people.
This food celebration includes cooking demonstrations, street artists, food, music, artisan stalls and of course the annual Chilli Eating Championships. The Chilli Festival Caloundra is held in the main street of the CBD.
